Pettibone prepared to be just a step away

Jonathan Pettibone got a taste of pitching at the Triple-A level last season and is opening this season back with the IronPigs. Now, Pettibone knows that he's one step from the majors and he's ready for the opportunity when it comes.

Jonathan Pettibone spent the last part of the 2012 season with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, so it's no surprise that he's starting back at Lehigh Valley to open this season. The 6'5" left-hander was drafted by the Phillies in the third round of the 2008 Draft, even though he had a scholarship offer to attend USC in the fall.
