Signed with Seattle as a minor league free agent in 2002. Originally drafted by Tampa Bay in the 13th round (376th overall) of the 2000 amateur draft.
2004 Highlights:
Split time between High-A Inland Empire and Double-A San Antonio and found great success at each stop
Made 27 starts on the season, going 3-2 with a 2.68 ERA in 7 appearances at Inland and 8-4 with a 3.48 ERA in 20 outings with the Missions
Combined for 176 strikeouts and 76 walks in 145.2 IP on the season
2003 Highlights:
Went 5-1 with a 2.65 ERA in 13 games (5 starts) with Inland Empire and 1-2 with a 2.80 ERA in 25 games (1 start) with Mid-A Wisconsin
