Drafted by Seattle in the 4th round (129th overall) of the 2001 amateur draft and signed by Mariners' scout Kyle Von Hook.

2004 Highlights:
  • One of Inland Empire's two aces along with Felix Hernandez, the southpaw went 12-6 with a 3.57 ERA in 27 starts with the 66ers
  • Put his impeccable control on display all season long, yielding just 30 base on balls in 186.2 IP
  • Led the 66ers with 141 strikeouts
  • Tossed first complete-game shutout of his pro career

  • Broke Wisconsin's team record for wins with 15
  • Named Wisconsin's Most Valuable Pitcher by the Seattle Mariners
