Signed by Seattle as a non-drafted free agent on Sept. 24, 1999; signed by Mariners' scout Curtis Wallace.
2004 Highlights:
Played in only 16 games before suffering a season-ending knee injury in late April while running through first base
Batted .303 (20-66) with 2 home runs and 10 RBI before the injury
2003 Highlights:
Batted .275 with 3 HR, 25 RBI and 9 SB at Inland Empire
Hit .359 (37-103) in 33 games in the month of July and August
Batted .336 (41-122) vs. left-handed pitchers
Had a season-high four hits, including two home runs, three runs and two RBI on May 12 vs. Battle Creek
Career Highlights:
Named the Most Valuable Player of the Venezuela Team in 2001 by the Mariners organization
Had a breakout season in 2002 with Everett, hitting .313 while leading the Northwest League in hits (89), extra base hits (36) and doubles (26). His 46 RBI was second in the league
