Acquired:
Drafted by Seattle in the 6th round (176th overall) in the 2000 amateur draft; signed by Mariners' scout Mark Lummus.
2004 Highlights:
Spent entire season at Triple-A Tacoma, playing well despite an injury-plagued year
Batted .324 with 19 stolen bases but appeared in just 64 games and had only 238 at bats due to nagging knee and hamstring injuries
Showed new-found power at the plate, hammering 3 home runs after having hit 4 in his first 1705 at bats in the minors
2003 Highlights:
Began season on the disabled list after dislocating his left shoulder in a Spring Training game
Hit .714 (5-7) in two games with Peoria before moving up to Tacoma on June 25
Stole 26 bases in 56 games, including a season-high four vs. Salt Lake on July 5
Had 20 multi-hit games, including four three-hit games
HIt .352 (38-108) in August with 23 runs scored and 11 steals
Made major league debut with Seattle as a pinch runner on Sept. 2
