Mariners' 13th round draft pick in 1999.

2004 Highlights:
  • Recalled by Seattle on July 1, and appeared in 31 games. He started 29 games (28 at third base and one at shortstop)
  • Batted .216 and had nine errors with the Mariners before being hit by a pitch on Aug. 17 by Matt Kinney of Kansas City. He finished the season on the disabled list
  • In 68 games with Tacoma, the third baseman batted .269 with 21 home runs and 51 RBI

  • 2003 Highlights:
  • Named Texas League Players of the Year
  • Led league in on-base percentage (.405), extra-base hits (66), and runs scored (103)
  • Finished fourth in league with 92 RBI andin home runs with 21
  • Selected as Texas League All-Star starter
  • Hit game-winning grand slam in bottom of ninth on May 30
