Acquired:
Drafted by Seattle in the 1st round (11th overall) of the 1999 amateur draft.

2004 Highlights:
  • Started the season late at Double-A San Antonio before being promoted to Triple-A Tacoma for the first time in his career
  • Batted .280 in 132 at bats with the Missions and .258 in 151 at bats with the Rainiers
  • Slugged 6 home runs in 44 games with Tacoma
  • Relegated to designated hitter duties while he continued to strengthen his shoulder and elbow on the side

  • 2003 Highlights:
  • Missed the entire season while recovering from shoulder surgery

  • In 2002, split time between High-A San Bernardino and San Antonio as a 21-year-old, hitting .282 and .253 respectively
