Acquired:
Traded to Seattle from Chicago (AL) along with Jeremy Reed and Miguel Olivo in return for Freddy Garcia and Ben Davis in June, 2004. Originally drafted by the White Sox in the 3rd round (82nd overall) of the 2000 amateur draft.
2004 Highlights:
Split the season between to organizations and two Double-A teams, first Birmingham then San Antonio
Batted .287 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI with the Barons before the trade to the Mariners' organization, then proceeded to hi .274 with 6 homers and 33 RBI
Didn't steal a single base all season for the first time in his career, going 0-5 in base stealing attempts
2003 Highlights:
Led Class A Winston-Salem in doubles (30) and extra-base hits (42), finished second in hits (106) and total bases (170) and third in RBI (55)
Earned Carolina League Batter of the Week honors for 7/24-30, going 10-for-26
Career Highlights:
Hit 30 doubles in two consecutive seasons (2002-03)
Made pro debut with the Arizona White Sox in 2000
