Traded to Seattle from San Diego with P Kevin Jarvis, 3B Dave Hansen, and OF Vince Faison for 3B Jeff Cirillo, P Brian Sweeney, and cash in January, 2004.

2004 Highlights:
  • Appeared in only 13 games at Triple-A Tacoma in his first year as a member of the Mariners' organization before a knee injury ended his season
  • Batted .308 with 5 home runs and 14 RBI in 52 at bats in his short time with the Rainiers
