| Biography: |
Jeff Cirillo was acquired in a trade with the Seattle Mariners that sent Wiki Gonzalez, Dave Hansen and Kevin jarvis packing. The Padres also acquired right-handed pitcher Brian Sweeney and $4,775,000, payable in 2005. While Cirillo will make $6.6 million this year, the deal is practically a wash for the team.
Cirillo is expected to play a reserve role in the infield for the padres in 2004. |
