As the baseball season moves out of spring and into summer, many of the top players in every organization are receiving promotions. Seattle farmhand Rett Johnson, a 23-year-old right-hander, is one of those. He was recently called up to Triple-A Tacoma from Double-A San Antonio, and already has made quite an impression.

Last Friday, June 20, the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers welcomed Rett Johnson to the pitching staff. Johnson, an eighth-round pick in 2000 out of Coastal Carolina University who will turn 24 on July 6, had his way at Double-A San Antonio through the first two-and-a-half months of the season.
